What's better then getting a basketball in the hands of your little ones?  Getting a basketball in the hands of your little ones and seeing them run, shoot, jump, play, throw and catch.  Although in our child development portion of SlamDunkerz we call Hoppin Hoopsterz, we do not promise to make Michael Jordan's out of your children, we do promise to make it fun and engaging. This class is definitely parent participation and we use many different props like balloons, hula hoops, noodles and spots to engage your children in fun activities for 45 minutes.  Bring a mini ball for a Hoppin good time.

Lil Dribblers (3 to Under 5 Years Old)
This is our introductory course for Children 3 to Under 5 years old. What is a basketball, how do you hold it, how do you pass it, how do you shoot it, how do you play with others as teammates and as a team? This group will involve parent participation in order to facilitate all the activities led by our instructors. Age appropriate equipment will include appropriate size (Size 3) basketballs and small Nets.

They will be introduced to the concept of Ball Handling, Passing, Shooting, Defense or Teamwork in a professional manner while being taught that learning is fun. End of Class small sided scrimmaging will be played in order to learn concepts taught. Achievement of the skills will come in time and practice. Repeating the course re-enforces the skills and allows us to progress the children’s skill level.
