Welcome to SlamDunkerz Basketball a brand new program to Arizona. Here we will provide your kids with the B.E.S.T.™ basketball experience in a simple straight forward manner. The goal is to learn skills but have fun first. In each of our classes we will offer a FUN, ENERGETIC, POSITIVE, ENCOURAGING and ACTIVE program they can walk away from learning and asking for more. Each week in our 45 -50 minutes classes a different skill will be taught, practiced and then applied in small sided scrimmages. No Competitive games will be played but once the program takes off, we will begin to schedule inter program tournament pinning facility vs facility.

Why are we successful? The success of the program and the success of the kids, depend highly on the Coach and not the marketing effort the Owners. For this reason, it really does come down to how we teach, present and demonstrate the skills necessary to enjoy the game. Our Coaches will cover Ball Handling/ Dribbling, Defense, Jumping, Passing, Shooting and the Triple Threat position. They will use a professionally generated training manual, games list and curriculum that focus on a different skill each week. Teamwork will be stressed and encouraged. Bottom line is after the program, kids will have a better sense of accomplishment and knowledge of the skills than before entering the program.

Coach Mitch and his staff operate SlamDunkerz Basketball, SoccerTots Arizona and Lil Sluggers Baseball for over 3 years. Mitch’s passion for basketball began at the age of 4 when his Dad first brought him to a court to show him how well he played the game and how much fun it is.

Mitch grew up in New York and he spent his time riding to and from the park playing ball from 8am to 8pm and when not at the park he played on all the school teams. The New York Knicks have been the family favorites no matter how good or bad their records were.

So, after growing up in the corporate world post College, Mitch and Family moved to Arizona to allow Mitch to do what he loves – teach and play sports with kids. SlamDunkerz Basketball has been a long time coming and has been written and reviewed by many professional educators and Basketball players.
